The chicken is awarded monthly for a nautical "gaffe" or misstep which has occurred during the weekend. Many members try and hide what they may have done during the weekend to avoid the chicken. Rod Johnson awarded the chicken to Jim LaRondell (host) for giving detailed parking information to an incoming Captain using a hand-held radio which had its "MUTE" button on !
